The Challenge
A 25 year old Roseville garage door installation and repair services company was locked into a web hosting and marketing contract with a large, local company. The client did not like the web site their previous company had designed and they could not get changes made to their site. Their previous web marketing firm was unresponsive, not proactive and providing unsatisfactory services at a high monthly premium.
Despite the difficulties, the age of the domain and the existence of their web site helped the client amass many page one, position one page rankings on Google.
They approached us to solve the problem: How do they push a new web site live on a hosted solution they can control themselves, but not lose any of their page 1 rankings along the way?
The Solution
FOSSmg created a new, custom WordPress based web site, mimicking their old site’s URL structure, meta tags and other key page elements critical for transferring and holding their current page ranks. The new web site also provided the client with complete control to make any changes or add new content when they wished.
We employed state-of-the-art search engine optimization practices to maintain the SERP juice and page ranks their previous site had acquired. That allowed us to monitor, measure and make immediate adjustments should we find any page rank declines.
THE RESULTS WERE AMAZING!
Three days following the push of their new web site, the client maintained all page one rankings. Of the 29 core phrases tracked, 8 maintained their #1 ranking on Google and 12 of them improved their page rank by at least one placement; two phrases jumped from the bottom of page 2 in a Google search to #2 on page 1…in just 3 days!
